A Venn diagram sorts items into overlapping circles. The overlap holds items in BOTH sets.

A ∩ B means "A and B" — the intersection, the overlap. A ∪ B means "A or B" — the union, everything in either.

When filling in a Venn diagram, ALWAYS start with the overlap and work outwards.
