Multiplication tables: 2, 5 and 10

   Multiplying is counting equal groups. 4 × 5 means four groups of five.

   The 2s are doubles: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12. The 5s go 5, 10, 15, 20, 25. The 10s go 10, 20, 30, 40, 50.

   What is 6 × 5?

   Multiplying can be done in either order. 3 × 10 gives the same as 10 × 3.

   8 × 2. Rather than eight groups of two, flip it: 2 × 8, which is double 8, which is 16.
