    A sequence is a list of numbers that follows a rule. Find the rule and you can carry it on.

    2, 4, 6, 8... each number is 2 more than the one before. The rule is "add 2". So next comes 10.

    What comes next: 5, 10, 15, 20, ___?

    Some sequences go down. Then the rule is "subtract" something instead of "add".

  5. 5

    3, 6, 9, 12. The gaps are 3, 3, 3 — the rule is "add 3". So the next two are 15 and 18.

    What comes next: 30, 25, 20, ___?
