What you'll learn

   Imagine holding your recorder like a pro. Your left hand goes on top, right hand below, and your fingers should curve like you're holding a small ball 🎾.

   Which part of your finger should press the recorder holes?

   Practise your hand shape by hovering your fingers over the holes without pressing — like a spider 🕷️. Then press down one finger at a time, feeling each hole seal.

   Let's learn the 'breath attack' — starting a note cleanly without a 'huh' sound.

   Try the breath attack on the note G. Blow a steady note for 4 counts — use a metronome in your head 🎶.
